| Home Groups. The Compass Home Groups Ministry is a primary vehicle for members and attenders to GROW at Compass. GROW is the one word used to define a person’s intentional effort to GROW with Jesus and Others and is part of the KNOW, GROW, GO vision for Compass.
Each Home Group is built on the foundation of the Bible as the ultimate resource for deepening one’s relationship with Jesus and with other people. The groups are intended to be geographically focused in order to foster group members spending time together and getting to know each other outside of official group meeting times.
Several times each year existing Home Groups are asked to have the basis of their study be “sermon-based.” This means that the Home Group will study and discuss, using a Home Group Guide from this website, the topic that was preached that Sunday. Home Group Guides are posted on the website several days prior to each Sunday. As groups meet that day and/or week they are able to use the Guide as the basis for their study.
Some of the Home Groups choose to continue to use the Home Group Guides throughout the year. Home Group Guides are usually posted to this website by Thursday of each week. There may be a few times during the year when Guides are not available. |
